Pet Helpers 3rd Annual Fur Ball

Pet Helpers 3rd Annual Fur Ball

Pet Helpers 3rd Annual Fur BallThis year is the 3rd Annual Pet Helpers Black Tie Fur Ball Gala on Saturday, October 27, 2007.  The Charleston Marriott on Lockwood Drive in Downtown Charleston will be the location to dine and dance and benefit the homeless furry friends at Pet Helpers Rescue & Adoption Shelter.  The ball will get rolling at 6:30 pm, with popular and fun- loving emcees Tom Crawford and Victoria Hansen of Channel 4 News.

As you begin your evening with a beverage from the open bar and hors d'oeuvres, you will have time to view and bid on the many exciting Silent Auction items which will include "get-aways," art work, dinners, personal and pet services, jewelry, golf packages and many other exciting and unique items. You will enjoy a plated dinner, have a chance to bid on exciting Live Auction items, and dance to great music into the night.

Attending will be South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster, who will serve as Honorary Chair for this year's event.  Over the past several years, Attorney General [Henry] McMaster has been vigorously leading the battle against [illegal] dog fighting in South Carolina. "I am deeply honored and grateful to serve as the Honorary Chairman of Pet Helpers 3rd Annual Fur Ball.  Pet Helpers is a superior organization that serves our community by providing badly needed pet shelter, adoption and spay/neuter services,"  said Mr. McMaster.

All proceeds from this great gala will go to fund the Capital Campaign to underwrite the new 14,000 square foot Pet Helpers Adoption Shelter and Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic at 1447 Folly Road, James Island.  Now under construction on 1.5 acres of land, this facility will house over 250 homeless animals on a daily basis, where all are medically cared for, given lots of TLC in an open, bright and cheerful environment and  kept until adoption. It is the goal of our spay/neuter clinic to end pet overpopulation in our community.  Over $3.5 million dollars are still needed to complete this project. This is a great way to support our  animals, have a wonderful time and help build the facility.

There are also many tax deductible sponsor "naming" opportunities available that will allow you to invest in the exciting future of  Pet Helpers shelter, where all animals are kept until adoption. Please visit our new shelter web site: http://www.phnewshelter.org/.

Tickets to the Fur Ball are $150each and can be purchased at Pet Helpers, 1430 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412 or by calling (843) 795-1110.  Visa and Mastercard are accepted or to purchase on line click here.   For more information, log onto the website at www.pethelpers.org.  The Fur Ball Gala has sold out the past two years, and with only 350 tickets available, seating is limited, so call now!  It is an evening you don't want to miss!
