Now Applebee's is stepping into the ring of "giving back". And this time it's for our noble miliary.
As a way of saying "Thank You!" to the men and women who are serving and have served our country, Applebees will be giving both active and retired military personnel a FREE entree on Veterans Day,

Active and retired military personnel can choose from the following entrees:

- Fire Pit Bacon Burger
- Fiesta Lime Chicken
- Chicken Tenders Platter
- 7 oz. Sirloin Steak
- Oriental Chicken Salsa
Available during business hours on November 11, 2009 at participating Applebee's only. It's also available for dine-in only.
In order to receive your free meal, veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service. The proofs that are acceptable are:

This is the first I'm hearing about this...
How wonderful that Applebee's is doing that.
Toula: Great, isn't it? I think this is another company to add to the list of worth patronizing.
We saw them advertising that yesterday when we ate next door at On The Border. I wonder if they are accepting "Wearing Uniform" as proof here. There are so many second-hand military uniform stores where anyone can buy a uniform. I wonder if buying a uniform would be less than the cost of the meal -- LOL.
